The answer is yes. You can do breastfeeding successfully even after breast implant surgery as the surgery usually doesn't involve the ducts or the areas of your breast involved in milk production.

But there are few exceptions. It is depend on the original state of your breasts before surgery and possibly the type of incision used. In a typical breast enlargement surgery, a cut is made under your breast, and an implant is placed behind the pectoral muscle (behind the milk glands), which lies below the breast tissue. Hence the surgery doesn’t affect milk supply. However, the location and depth of the incision used for your surgery may affect your ability to breastfeed.



Breast implants may affect the amount of breast milk you’re able to produce. But in some, milk supply isn’t affected at all. However, surgery that keeps the areola intact is less likely to cause problems.
